The concept for the collection was how certain styles and culture in the US has its own roots and identity but subsequently influences UK culture. An example of this would be US gang culture and the styles it birthed subsequently being adopted by UK grime artists and underground music.

Design Process: Using Old English Typography I was able to create designs for the sets reminiscent of the Baseball Jerseys and Caps often used as a uniform in US gang culture and the tattoos which were often seen on Hispanic gangs within LA. The Spade logo which is inspired by the US biker gang culture and casino chips was also heavily used in many designs creating a grungy feel to many of the graphics.

Website Stickers: For the web-shop in line with all Arctivál products I made conceptual artworks. These being inspired by the moodboard images each portraying a certain part of the US culture (LA Gangs, Biker Gangs and Casinos). I made each in the style of a playing card to further go with the Casino chip inspired spade design.

Promo Photography: Using 35mm film I took some BTS photos of the video shoot for the collection to gather for promo. Using Portra film and slight edits on lightroom it was easy to create a detailed but vintage feel to the photos.
